Musings

Sometimes I wonder what it would be like if I could rewrite the past 22 chapters of my life. What would the story line be different or would it remain the same? Would it include more adventure or would it even change? Would I be rescued by my knight in shining armor or continue to conquer it solo? Would I have my happily ever after with kids and a spouse in my beach front vacation house or will I be content with the hand I've been dealt? C'est la vie the saying goes, but someday just maybe someday I'll write the greatest chapter ever...

30 Day Writing Challenge Day 5~ A place you would live, but have never visited...

I would like to live in Ft. Lauderdale, Fl because it would be like a never ending vacation. The weather is nice year round. It seems like a nice place to live from what I read about or pictures I've seen in books. It's not that far from Disney World either. I would definitely be about that beach life!!!

30 Day Writing Challenge~ Day 3~ My First Love and My First Kiss...

So enjoy and appreciate those in your life who do stay and the impact they have:

                                                                        My First Love
This stanza sums it up!!! When I think back...out of all the guys that I "talked to", "went with" and dated. There was only one that ignited a fire that smolders deep down within. Not a day goes by that I don't think about him and I don't think there will be another whose kindling can start a fire quite like his. From the moment our eyes met from across the room that day in Magale Recital Hall lobby, that moonlit walk and the days and days that followed there was just something about him.At the end of one semester he never returned and we lost contact. I was devastated and the fire simmered. Then I picked up the phone when it rang one Thanksgiving break I was home from college and a familiar voice was on the other end the fire rekindled and I found that he had also been thinking of me. We talked on and off for quite sometime and then I found out he was betrothed to another another lethal blow. He made me feel like no other could ever and he was patient and gentle with me when I said I was not ready to give up my treasure.  He never tried to rush me or make me feel less than.  He made me feel so special and I still do because of him. So as days and years go by I hold on to the memories of O.R. and he will always hold a special place deep down in my heart!!! If anyone could has the key to unlock my treasure it would be him and he could have it all!!! He will always my only true First Love!!!

                                                                               My First Kiss
My first kiss that I can recall took place one summer when I went  to visit my aunt in BR for the summer. It was with one of her neighbor boys that lived down the street from her that I had been hanging out with for a few weeks when I was there.  It was a great first kiss a lil french action and all the whole nine yards Lol!!! I was indeed a great summer!!!

30 Day Writing Challenge~Day 2~ Earliest Memory

 Earliest Memory

I have several early memories, but the one that stands out the most is my early school days at Ingersoll Elementary in head start. I was a cheerleader mascot and had the opportunity to cheer at several of the games with the cheerleaders, having camaraderie and so many older sisters that I didn't have. I was also crowned Little Miss Ingersoll being little royalty was fun. Also reminded me of how close my cousins and I used to be. I remember one summer participating in a summer program at the school and some mess was going down and some of the kids were being bullies. My mom had dropped us off at the school, but being fed up with the situation and to protect their cousin each one of my cousins took turns carrying me on their backs until we got to our granny's house. I miss that close knitted spirit of our cousins!!!
